On December 21st, the OREsports team announced the dissolution of its Valorant division. This came as a surprise to many, considering that the team had recently participated in the Sean Gares OFF//SEASON Showdown tournament.
With the disbandment of OREsports, the number of teams participating in the Tier 2 league in NA for the upcoming season has been reduced to three. This sharply contrasts with the situation in the Japanese Tier 2 scene, where no reductions occurred.
After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways with our VALORANT team and leave the 2024 season.

This decision was not made lightly; we want to express our gratitude to our players for their time with us and wish them nothing but the best in their future endeavors. pic.twitter.com/RplxOC5MWG
Ten teams, excluding Disguised and MAD Lions with low results, have already been pre-selected to participate in the first split of the upcoming season. Currently, only four teams have secured these spots: Oxygen Esports, Moist Moguls, M80, and Turtle Troop. Open qualifiers are likely to start in a month, but at the moment, the situation is highly uncertain.
In response to these circumstances, player dazzLe, who previously played for TTR this season, announced his departure on December 21st. He expressed hope for the "end of the sports winter" and emphasized the impact of the current unstable situation.
Today, Complexity and Disguised also announced the dissolution of their GC divisions. Both teams stated that they plan to resume participation in the future, but only when the situation becomes more stable.
The situation in the Tier 2 Valorant NA league is causing serious concern. The reduction in the number of teams may lead to a decrease in the level of competition and interest in the league. It may also pose challenges for young talents aspiring to break into the larger scene.
