The Portuguese organization GTZ Esports signs a Valorant roster

After a six-month absence from the Valorant esports scene, the Portuguese organization GTZ Esports has signed a roster consisting of five relatively unknown players. Eric "Hiiro" Brassac, Marcio "Soldier" Correia, Rodrigo "H4te" Ribeiro, Bourrez "sh4wq" Lucas, and Tiago Teixeira "Kayn" Dos Santos as the new captain.

GTZ Esports started their journey in Valorant back in 2021, but their presence on the scene was quite rare. During the 2021 season, the team only appeared in two regional tournaments. The most productive year was 2022, where the former lineup won the MagicShot Leiria Valorant Cup and reached the finals of VALORANT Campeonato de Elite - Stage #2 and GameGune 2022.

In the recently concluded VCT season 2023, GTZ Esports only participated in VALORANT Challengers 2023 Portugal: Tempest first and second splits, as well as the VCT 2023: Ascension EMEA Play-In, where they faced defeat in the semifinals.

It is not yet known what to expect from the new lineup, which includes a group of relatively experienced players. Each of them has previously competed in the Valorant scene under team logos without an organization, but none have achieved significant success.

Soon, the team will demonstrate what their roster is capable of, as the first stage of VALORANT Challengers 2024 Portugal: Tempest Split 1 is set to begin in a few days. Eight Portuguese teams will compete for an undisclosed prize pool and VCL PT Points.
