The regular season in the highest competitive league of VCT has officially started, and soon we will be following the first major tournament in Madrid. After the Masters, competitive seasons will begin across all regions, and details about the Pacific region have recently been revealed.
Representatives of the Riot division in the Pacific region shared details about the upcoming tournament on their official social networks. It will be held in a LAN format at the new COEX Artium arena located in Seoul. Interestingly, this year professionals can expect some changes, such as the absence of a prize fund and a new system of participant distribution, now divided into two groups.
Compared to last year, when all teams were in one group, this year the organizers have divided all participants into two teams. They will be named Alpha group and Omega group, with the first having 5 partner teams and the second 6. The teams are distributed as follows.

In the group stage, teams will compete in matches up to 3 wins, for places in the playoffs. The strongest teams will directly proceed to the upper bracket semifinals, while 2nd and 3rd places will go to the quarterfinals. The tournament will take place from April 6th to May 12th, with 11 partner teams fighting for 3 invitations to Masters Shanghai, as well as 3 Pacific Points, which are necessary for qualifying for the world championship.
