The event organizers of the Sentinels continue to dominate, while the newly formed G2 roster fails to meet expectations - Highlights of the first day of the Sentinels Invitational

The local tournament, Sentinels Invitational, organized by the eponymous American organization, is in full swing. Today marked the end of the first day of matches, and the results were quite unexpected.

A total of three clashes took place on the first day, and after their conclusion, fans and some professional players were left disappointed. Although Sentinels won both of their matches, their fans noted that overall, the team looked quite weak. This was addressed by the team's in-game leader, Mouhamed "johnqt" Ouarid, who stated that this is the main point of the off-season, during which clubs usually train.

People say that we or other teams don't look very good... nonsense. That's the whole point of these tournaments and the off-season. There are still 3 months to go before the start of the main season.

The German team G2 Esports also faced a wave of criticism, having recently formed their roster, promising much to their fans. In the end, the team lost both of their matches, with participant Jacob "valyn" Batio expressing his deep disappointment.

Honestly, there's not much to say. I feel like I played one of my worst matches in Valorant ever. I've never been more disappointed in myself, whether it's an off-season tournament or not. Looking forward.

Despite many disappointments for players and fans, the confrontations themselves were quite interesting. In the first match, Sentinels, not without trouble, dealt with Moist x Shopify, the clash went over three maps: Sunset 13-8, Haven 8-13, Split 14-12. In the second match, Oxygen Esports also had issues with G2 Esports, but ultimately won: Breeze 13-11, Bind 10-13, Ascent 13-11. In the last match, G2's disappointment peaked, losing to Sentinels on Sunset 14-16, and the second map, Haven, was a one-sided affair, 6-13.

Remember, the second day of the Sentinels Invitational awaits, organized by the American team Sentinels. Four invited teams are competing for the championship title and a total prize pool of $20,000.
