The first regional qualifiers of VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff in the European region continue, and we closely follow the successes and setbacks of various teams almost daily. Yesterday, two matches took place in the upper bracket semifinals, and we’ll summarize their results below.

BBL Esports vs. Team Heretics

The first match featured last year’s favorites, Team Heretics, against BBL Esports, a team with fewer achievements. Despite this status, BBL Esports performed quite well in the tournament, even securing victories in their first two matches. However, their winning streak ended here. Team Heretics, apart from a competitive first map, secured a confident 2-0 victory without much trouble.

Team Vitality vs. FUT Esports

The second match was expected to be more intense, but it turned out to be another one-sided affair. FUT Esports faced off against Team Vitality in what felt like a clash between an underdog and a clear favorite. As expected, Team Vitality dominated, earning an effortless 2-0 victory.

As a result of the matchday, Team Vitality and Team Heretics advance to the upper bracket final, where they will face each other on February 7 for the first spot in the grand final. Meanwhile, FUT Esports and BBL Esports drop to the lower bracket, where they will fight for survival in the tournament tomorrow.

VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff is taking place from January 15 to February 9 in a LAN format at the Riot Games Arena. Twelve partnered VCT league teams are competing for two invites to Masters Bangkok and valuable EMEA Points, crucial for qualifying for the World Championship.
