Team SMG bids farewell to its inclusive Valorant roster before the start of the 2024 season

A few days ago, Team SMG announced the termination of the contract with Abigail "Kohaibi" Kong, who had been part of the team throughout the 2023 season. Today, the organization shared another batch of sad news with its fans.

The 2023 season was a pinnacle of glory for Team SMG. The team signed a promising roster that conquered the APAC region and proceeded to the world championship. Many fans and influencers had high hopes for the club's performance, but Team SMG couldn't bring it to fruition.

On February 4th, it was announced that the entire inclusive roster, which had dominated the inclusive scene in the APAC region, would be leaving. From their undefeated streak of 33 victories to finishing in fourth place at the Valorant GC world championship, they consistently impressed us with their talent, dedication, and teamwork. They are true champions, and fans are incredibly proud of all they have achieved.

We know this news is tough for our fans, and we want to thank you for your unwavering support. You've been with us through all the challenges, and we are very grateful for your passion. While it marks the end of an era for our team, we know the players will continue to achieve great success in their careers. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

At the moment, there is no information regarding the future of the departed Team SMG players. However, it can be assumed that the athletes will continue their performance together, but under a different team logo. Thus, after such a successful 2023 season, Team SMG announces its disbandment, and the team's future in 2024 remains uncertain.
