Boo after defeating GIANTX: "We just kept believing, and I think that’s why we won"

In a post-match interview, Ričardas "Boo" Lukaševičius shared his thoughts after Team Heretics defeated GIANTX to stay alive in the lower bracket of Champions 2025. He spoke about the importance of experience, the team’s resilience, and the pressure that comes with elimination games.

Experience and Resilience

When asked about the role of experience at this stage, Boo emphasized its importance:

I think experience means that. We had a bad second map, we had a bad start of the third map, but we still believed because we know that it’s possible. Very close game, very close rounds, like a crazy game. But yeah, we just kept believing and I think that’s why we won.

Proud Moments at the Tournament

Looking back on his personal performance, Boo highlighted one memory that stood out:

Honestly the two diffuses that I got in this round are what’s in my mind. Thanks to Benji for blocking for me, the Astro pool. And yeah, I mean that’s the moment that I remember now and I’m proud of it.

The Long Lower Bracket Run

Speaking about the challenges ahead, Boo underlined the team’s mindset:

For now we are looking for top four. We want to play in the arena in front of a lot of fans, but in general our goal is to win and take it game by game. And yeah, just enjoy Valorant. When we’re in the lower bracket, when we are about to lose, that’s where the most pressure is and that’s where we enjoy it the most. So yeah, we enjoyed the game.
