Swedish organization AEX-1 introduces new Valorant roster

Yesterday, the representatives of team AEX-1 announced their new Valorant roster on their Twitter account. Following a recent dissolution, the team has acquired three new players and three members of the coaching staff.

Recall that the current competitive season, generally, has been successful for the Swedish team. Even though both stages of Valorant Challengers 2023 DACH: Evolution Split 1 and Split 2 ended with the club taking the 6th and 8th places respectively. At the critical VCL 2023 DACH: Relegation, the players secured the 2nd place, ensuring an invitation to the next regular season. Despite this, the organization decided to say goodbye to the previous lineup, dissolving the roster completely, including all streamers and coaching staff members, from June 12 to July 1, 2023.

Current AEX-1 roster

  • Alexander "Happen" Dudenhofer
  • Adam "LeeN" Caillol
  • Leon "Leon" Roesberg
  • Rene "Shazeon" Cappel
  • Timo "TimppaZi" Virtanen (coach)

The new lineup includes three new players, with Shazeon being the most experienced. During his career, the professional had been a part of the junior team CGN Youngstars twice before moving to the main roster of the German organization CGN Esports. While with the latter, Shazeon won both stages of Valorant Challengers 2023 DACH: Evolution and took the 7th-8th place at VCT 2023: Ascension EMEA.

Remember that the team is looking forward to the Valorant Challengers 2023 DACH: Arcade, starting on September 16. Eight teams will be participating in the tournament, competing for a total prize pool of 16,086 dollars. Since the AEX-1 roster only has four main players, the organization's representatives announced that a substitute player will compete under their banner in the upcoming tournament. However, who will be assisting the Swedish team remains unknown.
