Senpai leaves Sengoku Gaming after two years as tactical coach

The Valorant offseason has begun, which means many teams will be making changes to their rosters. One such team is the Japanese representative, Sengoku Gaming, which is ending its collaboration with its Valorant tactical coach.

It's worth noting that this isn't the first change in Sengoku Gaming's lineup. A few weeks ago, the team parted ways with the well-known twins Gwangboong and Jinboong, as well as coach Art. The changes didn't stop there, as it was recently announced that tactical coach Senpai would also be leaving the team. The coach himself shared this decision on his official Twitter account.

Senpai's Career at Sengoku Gaming

Senpai joined the Japanese team at the end of 2022. During his time with the club, he helped the players secure many top finishes in various tournaments. Among them: 4th place at VALORANT Challengers 2023: Japan Split 1, 3rd place at VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan: Split 1, and 3rd place at the subsequent stage, VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan: Split 2. However, this performance didn't allow the team to qualify for the main tier-2 tournament Ascension, meaning the team lost the chance to compete for a partnership slot in the VCT league.

It is still unknown if Senpai has received offers from other teams, but the third stage of the VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan competition won't begin for another two months, giving the coach ample time to find a new team.
