Journalist Alejandro Gomez reported that Evil Geniuses player Jawgemo might soon join the European esports organization G2 Esports. According to Gomez, despite several offers, including one from NRG, the player chose G2 Esports. Previously, the organization had made offers to other duelists like Derke, but ultimately reached an agreement with Jawgemo.
Jawgemo began his Valorant career in 2020, competing on the North American amateur scene. In November 2021, he joined T1's academy team, and in January 2022, he transferred to Evil Geniuses. He faced tough times with the team in 2022 but achieved great success in 2023, becoming the runner-up at the VCT Masters in Tokyo and the winner of the VALORANT Champions.
However, after the conclusion of the 2023 season, reports emerged of significant salary cuts at Evil Geniuses and high transfer fees. As a result, the team lost several key players. Jawgemo remains the only world champion on the roster but could not take the team to the international stage in 2024.
