Rumors: GIANTX Valorant finalizes core five for VCT 2025, reaches agreement with tomaszy

GIANTX has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with another player — Tomás "tomaszy" Machado, who will join the team for the VCT 2025 season. This is the third and final player, completing the roster for the upcoming competitive season.

Rise and Fall of tomaszy

Tomás "tomaszy" Machado quickly transitioned from a Tier-2 player to Tier-1 within a single season. After a successful run with SAW in 2023, where the team placed fourth in Ascension EMEA, he received an offer from Karmine Corp in VCT EMEA. His season started strong with a victory at VCT 2024: EMEA Kickoff and a 5th-6th place finish at VCT 2024: Masters Madrid. However, results declined, and the team failed to qualify for international tournaments, leaving tomaszy without a team after the season’s final event.

Completed GIANTX Roster

According to information from Sheep Esports, GIANTX has finalized its roster, reaching agreements with three new players to complete their starting five for the VCT 2025 season.

Potential GIANTX Valorant Roster for 2025:

The new GIANTX lineup doesn’t appear particularly competitive. Instead of bringing in young, promising talent or signing stronger players, the organization opted to recruit those left teamless after the season. Additionally, they decided to keep Cloud as the IGL, despite the team’s best result under his leadership in 2024 being only a 9th-10th place finish.
