It should be recalled that there have been rumors about the Spanish football club Barcelona planning to create a Valorant roster. You can read more about this in our material. In his Twitter account, Alejandro Gomis reports that the football club representatives are preparing to form a Valorant team and are even negotiating with a head coach. This coach is expected to be Lucas "LRojo" Rojo, a well-known Spanish coach who recently left Case Esports.
Lucas "LRojo" Rojo is an exceptionally experienced Spanish coach who, until 2020, worked in League of Legends and Fortnite. During his career in Valorant, he has been involved in developing teams such as G2 Esports, Movistar Riders, Soniqs, and Case Esports. Under Lucas's leadership, the latter team won both stages of the Valorant Challengers 2023 Spain: Rising Split, but failed at VCT 2023: Ascension EMEA, finishing in 9-10th place, resulting in the team not securing a partnership with Riot Games.
As the journalist reports, the coach and the organization have already reached a verbal agreement. FC Barcelona is currently negotiating with Riot Games for a spot in VCL Spain, so as soon as the Spanish club secures a slot, information about LRojo will be officially announced. For now, there is no list of possible players for FC Barcelona in Valorant, so we continue to wait for new information.
