A week after being eliminated from the VCT 25: EMEA Kickoff, Fnatic announced the benching of their head coach Chris “Elmapuddy” Tebbit. Subsequently, information about two potential new candidates for this role appeared online.
Initially, it was reported that Fnatic was in negotiations with Malcolm “Bonkar” Rench, who is a coach for NRG Esports. Following the elimination of NRG from the VCT 2025: Americas Kickoff, it was revealed that the organization plans to replace its current coach. This information was provided by the e4equip portal. The news about Bonkar joining the roster was later refuted by the team manager on their personal social network page on X.
According to the sheepesports portal, Fnatic is set to promote Milan “Milan” de Meij from assistant coach to head coach. This opens up a vacancy for the assistant coach position, which, according to rumors, will be filled by Erik "Erik" Sandgren, also known by the nickname d00mbr0s, a former coach of NAVI.
The next tournament for Fnatic will be the VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1, which will take place in Berlin at the Riot Games Arena. The event will start in March and run until May. At the time of publication, exact dates for the championship had not been provided.
