Riot Games recently showcased photos of its new arena in Berlin, which will be used for hosting tournaments not only for Valorant but also for other esports disciplines from Riot Games.
Two months ago, Riot Games promised the opening of a new arena - Riot Games Arena - in January, where it plans to hold major tournaments in the European region, including the Valorant Champions Tour EMEA (VCT EMEA) and League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC). The photos reveal that extensive reconstruction work has been done to transform the old version of the arena into the new one.
The new Riot Games Arena, which was previously the LEC studio, will mainly host tournaments for LoL and Valorant (VCT EMEA). However, as Riot Games reports, the venue will also be used to organize remote events for other tournaments and disciplines such as VALORANT Challengers Ascension, VALORANT EMEA Game Changers, EMEA Masters, and Team Fight Tactics (TFT).
The first tournament in Europe in the 2024 season, VCT 2024: EMEA KICK-OFF, will take place at the Riot Games Arena. It is important to note that the championship is scheduled for February 20th, where 11 of the best European teams will compete for two slots at VCT 2024: Masters Madrid.
