Riot Games announces new partners for organizing official VALORANT tournaments in Japan

On January 14, 2025, Riot Games announced that the Japanese television company Nippon TV and advertising agency Hakuhodo DY Media Partners have become new partners for organizing official VALORANT tournaments in Japan.

This partnership is a logical continuation following the conclusion of Riot Games' collaboration with RAGE, which began in 2020. Nippon TV and Hakuhodo DY Media Partners will work closely with JCG and Hakuhodo DY Sports Marketing, which have extensive experience in organizing tournaments and events. The goal of the new committee is to expand the VALORANT audience and revitalize the game's esports scene in Japan.

Nippon TV has been actively developing the esports sector since 2018, with the launch of the "eGG" program, and continues to invest in tournament organization and management of professional teams. The new executive committee aims to grow the Japanese VALORANT scene and strengthen the position of esports as an international hub.

Starting in 2025, a tournament system with Circuit Points and a three-stage (3 Split) format will be introduced, promising even more exciting battles in both national and international competitions.
