On August 24, Riot Games announced a new skin for Valorant called "Nocturnum." The skin will be available in the in-game store on August 30, the day after the start of Episode 9 Act 2, which also includes the release of a new agent named VAYS.

"Nocturnum" is a collection of five weapon skins designed in a dark fantasy style inspired by an ancient forbidden ritual. The collection includes skins for the Classic, Marshal, Bulldog, Phantom, and a melee weapon. According to Laura Balcer, a product manager at Riot Games, the skin is designed to convey a balance between fear and beauty, immersing players in a world of sinister magic.

Special attention is drawn to the melee weapon in the form of a scythe with unique animations that allow it to transform into a dagger. Each form of the weapon has its own animations. Additionally, the skins can be upgraded by adding animations, kill banners, finishers, and three color variants—black, blue, and yellow. The finisher allows you to perform a ritual summoning the dark entity Noctis.

The "Nocturnum" bundle will be available for 8700 VP. When purchasing the full set, players will receive additional items: a player card, spray, charm, and melee weapon.
