REJECT explains their participation in VCJ 2024 Split 3 Advance Stage LCQ tournament

The esports organization REJECT issued a statement explaining their reasons for joining the qualifying stage of the "VCJ 2024 Split 3 Advance Stage LCQ" tournament. Initially, the team had planned to compete in "VCJ 2024 Split 3 Advance Stage Phase 2" in August and had prepared a new roster for that purpose. REJECT had proactively reached out to the organizers to clarify participation rules, including roster requirements, and received confirmation that their current roster met the tournament’s standards.

However, just days before the tournament began, the team was informed that they were disqualified due to new eligibility criteria differing from the original guidelines. Having placed 7th in Split 2, REJECT could have advanced to Split 3 Phase 1 if not for the roster changes. Since they replaced more than three players, they lost their eligibility to participate.

In response, REJECT requested that organizers reconsider, citing the players’ commitment and the effort put into preparing for the competition. As a result, the team was offered an opportunity to participate in the LCQ, provided they met certain roster requirements. To comply, REJECT temporarily brought in player GangPin, currently a member of T1 Academy and previously part of their roster.

The organization confirmed their plans to continue competing with the core roster established in August and aims to reach the Main Stage. Representatives of REJECT apologized to fans and players for any inconvenience caused by the changes and expressed gratitude to player GangPin and T1 for their support.
