On September 25, the Japanese team REJECT announced that head coach KeNNy is stepping down from his position. After two years in this role, he will continue his involvement with the team as a staff member.
A Legend in the FPS Scene
KeNNy, 38, is considered a legend in the FPS scene, having been active since the early 2000s. He began his career with the professional team 4DimensioN in CS1.6, where he became the first player in Japan to win a national championship and compete in a global tournament. In the following years, he competed in Sudden Attack and AVA, significantly influencing the development of the Japanese esports scene.
During his time with REJECT, the team has formed various rosters, including veterans as well as young talents, with an average age below 20. This season, they are participating in Challengers with a roster consisting of young players BRIAN, Akame, GangPin, muto and Hals, a mixed Japanese-Korean lineup, and they achieved second place at the national level in VCJ 2024 Split 1, which is the team's best result.
