Yesterday, Riot Games officially announced the 24th agent in Valorant. The enigmatic duelist ISO will debut in the third act of the seventh episode. Along with the announcement, the developers showcased the abilities that the new agent will have, sparking a lively response from the community.
This looks super cool visually, but are you spending your Ultimate Points for a 50/50? #VALORANT pic.twitter.com/Gy9UajavmE

Renowned content creator Noodle commented that the ultimate ability looks cool, but ultimately the chance of victory remains 50/50.
The only viable single duelists in pro play have the ability to dive out of chokes, Iso doesn’t.

It’s already hard for an agent to earn a flex spot in double controller meta. In single controller comps, that flex spot can go to all the initiators, duelists, and sage…
The head coach of Sentinels reacted quite negatively to the agent. He stated that the only chance for a duelist to be successful is if they have the ability to extricate themselves from a tense situation, which ISO lacks.
I think the fact that you can die while using your ult without getting an other advantage makes this not as good as it seems. It needs to be like the Phoenix ult where you can't die and would only respawn where you ulted from.

And it would still be different from Phoenix ult as…
Insider willminder claimed that the ultimate is actually not that great. Because when using it, you run the risk of dying, it would be better if it were reworked to resemble Phoenix's ultimate. As a result, even after losing a duel, the player could return to the starting point.
Recall that ISO's ultimate ability transports the agent and a selected enemy to an arena where they fight 1v1. If both players remain alive after the allotted time, they both are credited with a loss and automatic death.
