Last Thursday, on November 30, within the framework of Esports Awards 2023, the awards were presented in the Valorant category, along with recognition for some representatives of this field. Christine Chi, known as "Potter" and the coach of Evil Geniuses, won the "Coach of the Year in Esports" category after an impressive year. Valorant won in the "Esports Game of the Year" category and was also nominated in three other categories.
Potter made one of the best moves in 2023 within the Valorant Champions Tour. Evil Geniuses started the season, relying on their performance to qualify for the VCT Americas qualifiers, and ended the year as the Champions of Champions 2023.
The team demonstrated excellent gameplay throughout the main tournament of the season, losing only one series and defeating the Brazilian team LOUD in the lower bracket finals.
Valorant also won the "Esports Game of the Year" award and was nominated in three other categories. Evil Geniuses player Max "Demon1" Mazanov received the "Breakout Player of the Year 2023" award for outstanding performances at two international events during the year.
