Players of Valorant are demanding a rework for Deadlock

Fans of Valorant are calling for a redesign of Deadlock, whom they claim is the worst agent in the game. Now, with 23 agents in the game, Valorant is significantly different from its launch. Fortunately, developers have done a commendable job in maintaining game balance, constantly making changes to various maps, weapons, and agents at their discretion.

The community has always voiced its opinions, urging Riot to make changes and proposing ideas for improving the game as a whole. Now, the community is urging Riot to rework one of the newest agents, Deadlock, in the game. Despite being released just a few acts ago, players argue that Deadlock is the weakest among the current roster of agents.

In a Reddit thread from November 11, a Valorant player initiated a discussion on whether Deadlock needs a rework to keep up with other agents. The player noted that while the agent's playstyle should differ from that of other representatives in the same class, Deadlock simply lags behind the rest.

In a world where Cypher trips slow, stun, tag, damage, and reset soon. We have trip wires that stun (sometimes). I know he has a different playstyle, but it just feels wrong to me.

According to some high Elo representatives and professional players, the agent is practically non-existent, further proving that changes are needed.

Perhaps Deadlock might even need a complete rework, not just a few buffs. In high Elo and professional games, she is practically non-existent. I mean, yes, she's the worst agent in the game, and she needs about 5 buffs.

It is unlikely that we will see any significant changes to the agent in the near future. However, since Episode 8 will be the next major update, there is a chance that we may witness some changes.
