Phonics is an experienced coach whose abilities will have a profound impact on the team that FUSION is assembling in the near future. Among the coach's recent and notable accomplishments, one can highlight his influence on the 00 Nation team during the VALORANT Challengers 2023: Brazil tournament, where they secured a 2nd-place finish. This accomplishment granted them a direct invitation to the VCT 2023: Ascension Americas, where they performed decently but secured only a 5th-place position.

FUSION performed admirably in the VCL LATAM North this year, competing against Six Karma in the finals of both splits of the tournament. In the first stage, they lost to the Mexican team with a score of 3–2 but secured a spot in Ascension Américas 2023 by defeating the same team with a score of 3–1 in the final of the second split.
