After the end of the 2025 season, the Nongshim RedForce organization lost its VCT slot but soon regained it. Following this, changes began within the team, the first of which was parting ways with Yang "Persia" Zi-on, who had been playing for the team since November 2024.
Farewell to Persia
An announcement about parting ways with Persia appeared today on Nongshim RedForce’s official social media pages. In it, the club thanked the player for his contribution to the team’s development and wished him success in his future career.
We say goodbye to “Persia” Jion Yang from the Nongshim RedForce VALORANT team.
Being at the heart of Nongshim RedForce’s dramatic journey, Persia paved his way to VCT PACIFIC, showing growth, passion, and perseverance alongside his teammates. We are deeply grateful to him for the dedication and heart he has put into the team. Nongshim RedForce will always support Persia in his future challenges.

Persia’s career in Nongshim RedForce
Yang "Persia" Zi-on joined Nongshim RedForce on November 26, 2024, ahead of the VCT 2025 season, after the organization acquired the Sin Prisa Gaming roster, which is how they obtained their VCT slot. During his time with the club, Persia helped the team achieve stable but not outstanding results, including: 5th–6th place at VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff, 7th–8th place at VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1, and 5th–6th place at VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 2.

Due to these results, Nongshim RedForce failed to qualify for any international tournaments and lost their VCT slot. Although the team quickly regained it thanks to their 2nd place finish at Ascension Pacific 2025, Persia himself did not participate in the tournament, and today it has been announced that he is leaving the team.
It is currently unknown which club the player will continue his career with, but you can follow him and other transfers during the VCT off-season in our material.
