FNATIC announced an update to their coaching staff. The head coach position has been filled by Milan “Milan” de Meij, and the vacant position was taken by Erik “d00mbr0s” Sandgren, the former coach of Natus Vincere.
Following an unsuccessful performance at the VCT 25: EMEA Kickoff, Chris “Elmapuddy” Tebbit, the previous head coach, was moved to inactive. According to rumors, besides d00mbr0s, Fnatic was also considering the former coach of NRG Esports — Malcolm “Bonkar” Rench.
Achievements of d00mbr0s as a coach:
In 2022, while coaching the team FPX, d00mbr0s became the champion of VALORANT Masters Copenhagen 2022. In the same year, the lineup under his leadership took 4th place at VALORANT Champions 2022. After that, in November 2022, the lineup was acquired by the organization NAVI.
After moving to NAVI, d00mbr0s as a coach was able to achieve 3-4 place at VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo. Subsequently, the team's results gradually declined. In 2024, the results deteriorated sharply and by the end of the season, Erik was moved to inactive.
FNATIC's next tournament will be VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1. It will take place in Berlin at Riot Games Arena from March to May. As of publication, the exact dates of the tournament have not yet been announced.
