Riot Games has announced a new format for the playoff stage of the upcoming tournament - VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Masters Shanghai.
Riot Games released a video on the official Valorant Champions Tour YouTube channel, where Leo Faria and Bill Pan shared information that the second Masters in 2024 will differ from the first, as it will have a different playoff stage system.
Key changes: regional league winners will go directly to the playoff stage and will have the opportunity to choose their opponent, while the other 8 teams will be divided into groups and will play using the Swiss system.
The VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Masters Shanghai is scheduled to begin on May 23 and will run until June 9. The prize pool and the full lineup of participants are still unknown, so stay tuned for results from other tournaments on our website.
