New background, knife, and trophy: Valorant gears up for VCT 2024: Masters Madrid

VCT 2024: Masters Madrid is on the horizon, and Riot Games is already preparing innovations for the first international tournament of the year. According to an internal source, Shiick, the game will feature an exclusive background showcasing the tournament trophy and exciting animation involving Viper and Omen, as well as a special knife from the LOCK//IN 2023 set.

Integration of Madrid streets with the world of Valorant will breathe new life into the game's main screen, expected in update 8.04 as soon as next week. The screen will display the tournament trophy, possibly inspired by the design of the previous trophy from the 2023 Tokyo Masters.

It's worth noting that 6 teams from the China Kickoff, EMEA Kickoff, and Pacific Kickoff regions have already qualified for the tournament. The last two slots are reserved for the American region, whose finalists will be determined on March 3.

VCT 2024: Masters Madrid will kick off the international 2024 VCT season. Eight teams will participate in the tournament, scheduled from March 14 to March 24, featuring a new format in the initial stage.
