Riot Games has officially confirmed that a new agent in Valorant will be unveiled during the upcoming world championship Valorant Champions 2024, and has announced the date of this event.

It has been four months since the last character appeared in Valorant. The last was Clove, who became one of the most popular and immediately meta-defining characters. However, this position may soon be taken by a new hero, which the developers promise to showcase during Valorant Champions 2024.

At the time of writing, there is little official information about the new agent, just a few teasers in which the developers showed some minor details, leaving fans room for speculation. The main guesses are that the character will be female, will wear a mask, and her abilities will be related to time manipulation. Whether these assumptions are true, we will find out on August 23 during the official broadcast of Valorant Champions 2024.

Valorant Champions 2024 will take place from August 1 to 25, 2024, in Seoul. Sixteen teams, four from each competitive region, will compete for a total prize pool of $2,250,000, as well as for the title of world champion and the strongest team of the next year.
