"Neon after patch 9.11 is still stronger than she was before patch 8.11": community reacts to agent nerf

Riot Games has released Patch 9.11 for VALORANT, bringing nerfs to the agent Neon. The key changes include reducing the number of slides to one per ability activation, shortening the ultimate's duration, and increasing its cost from 7 to 8 points. Additionally, the accuracy of shooting during slides has been reduced, now matching the level of shooting accuracy when crouch-walking.

The decision has sparked discontent among players, who are actively discussing the changes on social media. Some argue that it would have been sufficient to revert Neon to her state prior to the June buffs. VALORANT game designer Penguin responded to the criticism, saying:

Neon after Patch 9.11 is still stronger than she was before Patch 8.11. Evaluating changes without testing them in-game is a premature conclusion. Shooting during slides remains effective, though it is now less accurate.

Neon, known for her high mobility and ultimate with electric bursts, became more popular in June following significant buffs in Patch 8.11. At that time, her sprint speed was increased, and her shooting accuracy during slides was stabilized.

Only time will tell how these new changes will affect the agent's popularity.
