On April 24, four more teams played their final matches in the group stage of VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1. For some, the result mattered, while for others, their fate had been sealed before the day began. Learn more about the victories of MKOI and NAVI in VALORANT.
MKOI vs Gentle Mates
MKOI had their last dance not only at this tournament but possibly as a roster overall, as rumors suggest changes are expected both in the coaching staff and player lineup between Stage 1 and Stage 2. Their final match of the tournament was against Gentle Mates. For both teams, the result had no impact, as it was already clear before the final week of play that they would be leaving the tournament. However, that didn’t stop the teams from delivering a solid performance, and MKOI from earning their first win at the event with a 2:1 scoreline (Split 11:13, Icebox 13:6, Fracture 13:9).

NAVI vs Team Vitality
Unlike the previous match, this one held high stakes: while the losing team would still qualify for playoffs, they would start from the lower bracket, while the winner would advance to the upper bracket. To many people’s surprise, the course of the game and the result defied expectations. NAVI convincingly won Team Vitality’s map pick (Haven 13:5), and then — after a tough fight — closed out the series on their own pick (Icebox 13:11), securing a 2:0 victory over one of Europe’s top teams. This win earned NAVI third place in Group Alpha and a spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs.
