Mist Games, the organizers of VALORANT Challengers 2024 Northern Europe, announced two teams that received direct invitations to the closed qualifiers. They will compete with other teams for slots in the main stage.
As the season approaches, qualifications are beginning in each region, where slots for participation in the Challengers league are contested. Northern Europe is no exception to this rule. Although the region recently faced difficulties due to problems with the tournament organizer, Riot Games was able to resolve them and announced the dates for the qualifications and the two teams that received direct invitations to the event.
The teams were selected based on their performances at the BEACON Open Split 2: Finals - Division 1. Formulation Gaming and apinaorkesteri finished first and second respectively in this tournament, so both teams received invitations to participate in the closed qualifiers.
The VALORANT Challengers 2024 Northern Europe: Polaris Split 1 - Closed Qualifier will start on January 19th. Over two days, eight teams, two of which received direct invitations and six that passed through open qualifiers, will compete for two slots in the main stage of the tournament.
