The fourth and penultimate week of the VCT 2025: Americas Stage 1 group stage concluded yesterday. On the final day, two matches were played, after which we learned the name of the team that advanced to the playoffs, along with other results, which we will cover below.

KRU Esports vs Evil Geniuses

The first match featured a clash between former world champions Evil Geniuses and the Argentinian team KRU Esports, co-owned by famous football player Lionel Messi. Despite KRU going undefeated in the group stage so far, the "Geniuses" managed to hand them their first loss with a 3:1 scoreline.

MIBR vs NRG

In the second match, we saw a battle between the underdogs NRG and MIBR, and the result was quite predictable. Aspas and his team easily defeated their opponents on two maps, securing their spot in the playoffs.

As a result of these matches, both MIBR and KRU Esports guaranteed themselves a place in the playoff stage with an overall 3:1 record in the group stage. Evil Geniuses, thanks to their victory, now have a 2:2 record and will have one last chance to qualify for the playoffs in their match against LOUD. Meanwhile, NRG suffered yet another loss and dropped to the bottom of their group. They will also fight for their last chance to advance against Leviatan.

VCT 2025: Americas Stage 1 runs from March 21 to May 4. During the tournament, 12 teams are competing for three spots at VCT 2025: Masters Toronto and valuable Americas Points needed for future Champions qualification.
