meL took to her X account to post a detailed statement after certain players faced backlash regarding their participation in the championship due to their identities. Among those targeted was florescent, a member of meL's team. While some fans have questioned the Game Changers format, players and organizers maintain a different stance.

Currently, the Shopify Rebellion team, featuring florescent and meL, is one of the strongest squads in women’s Valorant.
