The Egyptian collective Team Occupy, which only introduced its updated Valorant lineup in early February 2024, has already seen changes. It was revealed yesterday that one of the key players, known by the nickname Mega, is leaving the team.
The professional himself announced this decision on his official social networks. Interestingly, neither the team representatives nor the player himself placed much emphasis on the departure. Mega simply stated that his contract had ended and he was looking for a new team, while Team Occupy representatives did not comment on the event at all. This leads to speculation that the parties may have ended their cooperation on less than amicable terms.
As we mentioned earlier, Mega joined the team on February 6, 2024, when the organization introduced its updated Valorant roster. During his time with the team, he participated in only one official tournament, the Challengers League 2024 MENA Resilience: Split 1 Levant and North Africa, which ended in a series of defeats and a 6th place finish for the team.
It is currently unknown whether the player has received offers from other teams. However, considering that the next stage of the Challengers League competition will not start anytime soon, the player will have ample opportunity to find a new team.
