According to media sources, GIANTX  is planning to test two new players — Karel "Flickless" Maeckelbergh and Hanceriuc "ara" Eduard-George — in their final two matches of the VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1 group stage.

Most of GIANTX’s run in the current stage is already behind them. The team has played three out of five matches — and lost all of them. Despite this, their chances of reaching the playoffs are still technically alive: they need to win both of their remaining matches and hope that Team Vitality loses both of theirs. The probability of this scenario is quite low, so GIANTX has nothing to lose and will likely attempt drastic roster changes as a last-ditch effort.

According to insiders, Tomás "tomaszy" Machado and Emil "runneR" Trajkovski are expected to be benched. In their place, the organization plans to give a chance to the duo from UCAM Esports — initiator Flickless and duelist ara.

GIANTX’s next match at VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1 is scheduled for April 17 against Fnatic, the undefeated leader of Group Alpha. It’s worth noting that GIANTX’s only chance of making the playoffs lies in winning both remaining matches and Team Vitality losing both of theirs.
