“LoL can be run on a potato” - TenZ complains about outdated Riot Games equipment

At first glance, Riot Games seems to create the best conditions for players at their international tournaments, but this is not the case. The main issues concern outdated equipment, as recently revealed by Sentinels professional player Tyson "TenZ" Ngo.

The information portal Dexerto reported on this situation in their article. In a clip from Tyson's live stream, he can be heard complaining about Riot's outdated equipment and comparing the conditions for professional players in Valorant and Valve's shooter.

Tyson "TenZ" Ngo explains that the equipment Riot typically provides for players at tournaments is quite outdated. Monitors and other components lag behind by several generations and are often much worse than what players use at home. Moreover, Tyson suggests that Riot uses the same equipment for both League of Legends and Valorant tournaments, which he believes is unacceptable because "LoL can be played even on a potato," as he jokingly stated.

This issue is particularly relevant ahead of the Valorant Champions 2024, but it is unlikely that Riot will listen to the players' complaints. Even if they do, they probably won't be able to replace all the equipment by August 1st.
