Liberty disbands its main Valorant roster

The Brazilian organization Liberty announced the disbandment of its main Valorant roster on its personal Twitter page, thanking the players for a whole year of joint work and achievement.

With the end of the national Valorant calendar for this year, we say goodbye to the team that represented us in 2023. We thank duhtvlr, guuihvlr, pepavlr, captain tockerslol and Zanatsufps for all their perseverance and dedication throughout the year. To gg_hiromi, our coach since the beginning of Liberty Valorant, we are grateful for 3 years of challenges and achievements recorded in our history. Good luck in your future challenges.

The organization also noted that the disbandment does not mean a complete replacement of the lineup. At this time, it is hard for the management to say when and if the organization will return to Valorant as the team ended its season very early. Liberty will wait for news and announcements about the next 2024 season, after which they will make a decision about possibly signing new players for participation in the next season.

The players and coach Liberty said goodbye to:

  • Carlos "Zanatsu" Eduardo
  • Eduardo "duhT" Teixeira
  • Guilherme "guuih" Mariano
  • Matheus "PEPA" Coletto
  • Gabriel "tockers" Claumann
  • Saymon "Hiromi" Sousa (coach)

Liberty's Journey in Valorant

The Brazilian organization Liberty joined the discipline on August 7, 2020, and has been successful in it for over 3 years without interruption. During this period, the team earned more than $60,000, and the biggest achievement for the organization was making it to VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin. Unfortunately, the team came in last in the tournament.

One of the last tournaments for the lineup was VCL Brazil Split 2 2023, where the team finished 5-6th earning 40 BR Points and $6,664. The team ended up last in the ratings of Brazilian teams in points for the season, which forced them to play VALORANT Challengers 2023: Brazil Promotion, to regain their place in the league for the next season. And the farewell event for the team was the Gamers Club Elite Cup 2023, where the team took second place and won $2,115.

After not very successful results in the season, the Brazilian organization decided to disband its Valorant roster. However, the return of the organization is still possible thanks to the preserved place in the league for the next season.
