Yesterday, on November 12th, the final match of the mid-season tournament Superdome 2023 - Colombia took place. The teams competing for the title of Superdome 2023 were Leviatán and FURIA Esports. The stakes were not only the title but also a prize pool of $12,000.
Despite the clean victory, the match was far from easy. The first map was Leviatán pick, Haven, where they faced difficulties in the first half. In the end, FURIA Esports couldn't suppress their opponent and lost with a score of 9-13.
The second map was Split, chosen by the FURIA Esports team, which seemed strange because in this match, the "Panthers" suffered a devastating defeat with a score of 7-13. This raises questions about their choice.
The third and final map was truly intense. After the first half, it seemed that FURIA Esports would finally make a comeback, and we should expect a longer match. However, Leviatán continued to surprise and managed to turn the tide even in the most dire situation, closing the match with a score of 13-10.
Leviatán fully lives up to the expectations of their fans, and despite recent roster changes, the team demonstrates a well-coordinated teamwork. Thanks to this, they closed the final encounter with a score of 3-0. As for FURIA Esports, they clearly relaxed after MEG 2023, but they should not be underestimated.
