The third day of VCT 2025: Americas Kickoff ended with victories for Leviatán and G2 Esports. With all participants for the upper and lower brackets now determined, let’s focus on our favorites from the tournament.

Leviatán vs. FURIA Esports

This year, Leviatán seems determined to surpass their previous Kickoff results, and so far, they’re off to a great start. Strengthened by the addition of Demon1 and C0M to their roster, the team has positioned itself as one of the favorites to win the tournament.

Both maps concluded quickly, with C0M emerging as the star of the match, delivering an outstanding performance on Sova and Viper. The final score was 2:0 in favor of Leviatán.

G2 Esports vs. Cloud9

Another exciting match proved why G2 Esports retained their old roster. The team has been performing at a high level, securing a strong position in the bracket. Although jawgemo, a recent addition to the roster, has been showing promise, G2 owes their victory to leaf, who played exceptionally throughout the match.

Both maps ended swiftly, with G2 maintaining dominant control. The first map closed at 13-6, and the second at 13-8, resulting in a 2:0 victory for G2.

The VCT 2025: Americas Kickoff is taking place from January 16 to February 8 as an offline event at the VCT Riot Games Arena. Twelve partnered teams from the VCT program are competing for two invitations to the Masters Bangkok and valuable Americas Points, crucial for qualifying for the World Championship.
