On the evening of Monday, July 1st, KRÜ Esports announced the return of Nicolás "mta" González to their main roster. González will replace Olavo "heat" Marcelo, who has been playing for the team since their last appearance at the Kickoff Americas tournament, where KRÜ Esports suffered a defeat against G2 Esports.
KRÜ Esports showed promising results in the group stage of VCT Americas Stage 1, being considered one of the favorites to secure one of the three spots at VALORANT Masters Shanghai. However, after losing to Leviatán in the final round of the regular stage, the team lost its positions, suffering four consecutive defeats.
The team's coach Atom explained that the roster change is aimed at returning to their previous level of play. He noted that there has been a gradual decline in their performance since the last matches of Stage 1. The team is addressing this and hopes that this moment has reached its peak. According to him, they have lost the strength and rhythm to maintain their gaming standards. The coach emphasized that they must do everything necessary to regain this quality and start winning again, both on the server and beyond.
