KRU Esports did not achieve success in the 2023 season. They ranked 10th in the VCT Americas League 2023, 17th-32nd in the VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo 2023, and 13th-16th in the VALORANT Champions 2023, making it to the latter thanks to a victory in the VCT Americas Last Chance Qualifier 2023. The only positive outcome was making it to the world championship, but this did not meet expectations. Therefore, changes were anticipated after the season ended. Two players left the team, and they were replaced by Nicolás "mta" González and Fabian "Shyy" Usnayo.
