KRU Esports has announced the departure of their VALORANT roster captain, Benjamín "adverso" Poblete, just one week before the start of VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2. The organization confirmed the news via its official account on X.
Benjamín "adverso" Poblete leaves KRU after spending nine months with the team. His final tournament appearance was at the Tixinha & Sacy Invitational, where KRU finished second. His most notable achievement during this stint was a 4th place finish at VCT 2025: Americas Kickoff, which earned the team valuable Americas points but no direct qualification benefits.
According to insider Lembo, adverso is expected to be replaced by Jesús "Dantedeu5" Larrosa from OXEN — an affiliate team of KRU Esports. Dantedeu5 was one of the standout players in the Challengers League last season and dominated the Ascension tournament, where he finished third with All Knights but topped the event in individual stats.
A reminder: KRU Esports' opening match in VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2 is just a week away. They will face off against MIBR, with two slots for Champions 2025 in Paris up for grabs at this final regional tournament.
