At VCT Pacific 2025 Kickoff, held in Korea, DetonatioN FocusMe defeated Paper Rex in the second round of the lower bracket. After the win, Meiy and Jinboong shared their thoughts on the match in an interview on the official Japanese stream.

Jinboong talked about his feelings after the game:

We prepared well for the matches against PRX, but I had some concerns. Despite that, I'm happy we managed to win. There were issues in our training, and I was a bit worried about our gameplay, but the result made us happy.

Meiy, on the other hand, emphasized the importance of preparation for the match:

After losing to RRQ on Pearl, we noticed similarities between their lineup and PRX's, and the coaching staff suggested a strategy that we successfully implemented. Our IGL Ibanin was on point, and that played a key role in the victory.

Discussing the strategy against PRX, Meiy noted:"We predicted well the moments when the opponent would initiate fights and avoided those situations. In some cases, we managed to outsmart them by changing the direction of the attack.

 

When asked about potential roster changes, Meiy added:

We're ready to adapt the roster depending on the opponent, so the lineup for Pearl may change in the upcoming matches.

 

Jinboong also shared his thoughts on the current patch and the team's adaptation:

We tried to quickly adapt to the new patch, but it wasn't that easy. I think we're somewhere in the middle of the process.

 

Meiy pointed out that important agents in the current patch are Vyse and Tejo:

Vyse is the key agent to watch, and Tejo is in second place.

Before the next match against Gen.G, both players are confident in their victory. Jinboong said:

Since Gen.G has Foxy9 in their roster, I don't think this match will be too difficult." When asked who is stronger, he jokingly said.

Meiy also expressed confidence in the win, noting that the team is ready to handle any challenges:

Jinboong is too strong, so don't worry.

The players also shared their experience playing against Gen.G last year. Meiy admitted that Munchkin was the most dangerous player for the team:

When we played against Gen.G, I felt it was our toughest match. Munchkin as an IGL is the one we fear the most.

 

Before the interview ended, both players thanked the fans for their support. Jinboong promised to prepare thoroughly for the next match, while Meiy vowed to deliver a great performance in the upcoming meeting.
