Imperium Gaming disbands its Valorant team

Spanish organization Imperium Gaming has disbanded its Valorant roster, which participated in the VALORANT Challengers 2024 Spain: Rising Split 2 tournament, showing subpar results.

Imperium Gaming was the only team in the VALORANT Challengers 2024 Spain: Rising Split 2 league that earned its slot through the internal Premier game mode. However, due to poor performance and other factors, they lost their slot after the split ended, resulting in the team’s dissolution.

After the conclusion of the second split, all players, including the coach, announced on their social networks that they are now free agents. They are open to new offers but as individuals, not as a complete team.

The decision to disband the roster was likely influenced not only by the team's results in the Spanish league but also by upcoming changes in the league. With the new season, the league will merge with two others, reducing the number of slots for Spanish teams. Imperium Gaming, having finished last in the current league, will have to start anew.
