IGZIST announces the signing of RIA ahead of VCJ 2025 Split 1

The Japanese esports team IGZIST officially announced on January 23 the addition of RIA to their VALORANT roster. The 21-year-old player, who previously competed for well-known teams like REJECT and FENNEL, is making his return to the professional scene after nearly a year.

RIA began his career in 2021 when he joined Gaming Team SELECTOR. At just 17 years old, he showcased his potential by competing in VCT 2021 Stage 3, where his team managed to challenge strong opponents such as FENNEL, BlackBird Ignis, and Storks Phalanx. Later, he moved to Quintette Shizuoka, gaining valuable experience alongside notable teammates.

In 2022, RIA joined REJECT, helping the team reach the main event of VCJ 2023 Split 1, though they were unable to secure a single win. After additional struggles in Split 2, his contract with the organization ended. Later in October 2023, he became part of FENNEL, stepping in during a difficult period to replace the temporarily suspended Xdll. Although he was moved to the substitute role after Xdll's return, RIA continued to support the team and contributed to their championship victory in VCJ 2024 Split 1.

RIA is known as a versatile player who reached the highest rank, Radiant, just six months after starting to play VALORANT. Initially, he played as a duelist but later transitioned to a controller role, consistently delivering solid performances.

The updated IGZIST roster featuring RIA is as follows:

The team is preparing to compete in the main stage of VCJ 2025 Split 1, which kicks off on January 29. IGZIST will start in the second round of the upper bracket, facing the winner of the match between FENNEL and Sengoku Gaming.
