“I wanted to be a duelist” Fnatic Alfajer talks about his role as a sentinel

Emir "Alfajer" Beder, currently a player for Fnatic, discussed his role as a "Sentinel" on the wtcN broadcast, co-founder of BBL Esports and an active Twitch streamer.

Alfajer from Fnatic appeared as a guest on the stream, which hosted a viewing party for the current off-season tournament, Red Bull Home Ground 2023, and expressed several comments regarding his "Sentinel" role.

"I've always wanted to play as a duelist. If you check my tracker, you'll see I've played over 1100 matches as Jett. I like the entry frag, and I like chaotic situations."

He also mentioned why it's challenging for him to deliver the appropriate performance in the "Sentinel" role.

"In the Sentinel role, I have to check things like the sides, so it doesn't fit my playstyle."

wtcN believes that Alfajer still has a chance to change his position to a duelist, but not currently, as the team has some of the best performers in this role.

In response to wtcN's question about competitors among Sentinel players for Alfajer, the athlete noted that he considers Less from LOUD the best in this role, but apart from him, he stated a lack of competitors.

Remember that in the 2023 season, Fnatic and Alfajer won the 2023 VCT LOCK//IN and VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo, becoming the first team in history to win international tournaments consecutively. The team, expected to win for the third time in a row, lost twice to Less from LOUD in the VALORANT Champions 2023 and was eliminated from the top four.
