“I never would have expected how this year went” — crashies of FNATIC after qualifying for the Champions 2025 playoffs

Fnatic managed to come back against MIBR in the group stage of VALORANT Champions 2025 and advanced to the second round. Austin "crashies" Roberts gave a post-match interview, sharing what happened in the team after losing Bind and reflecting on his experience joining a European roster.

We've seen a bit of a sloppy start from you against MIBR. The end of the map was tough, but you managed to win it. What lessons are you taking from this match heading into playoffs?

I think we just started kind of slow, and they had a really good game plan on how we wanted to play Bind. Then we had a good talk after map one, refocused, and really brought a lot of energy.

A few months ago, you left everything behind in America to try your luck in Europe with Fnatic. Looking back, how has this journey been for you as an import leading up to Champs Paris?

It's been a crazy ride, honestly. I never would have expected how this year went. I love my teammates, and I love every staff member. The organization gives us so much support, and it's been a surreal experience for me. I'm just so grateful to be here.

We've seen Boaster dancing, Alpha waving. You do a little bit too, but crashies, what would it take to see you dance on stage? We need that.

Maybe another grand finals. If we get in the grand finals, maybe we'll do some dancing. But for now, it's just full energy, full hype.

Fnatic, along with three other teams that have already qualified for the playoffs, now have a break until September 25. Meanwhile, on September 19, the elimination matches at Champions 2025 will begin.  More information about results and upcoming matches can be found via this link.
