Despite ValorLeaks revealing this information, it was published by a Riot Games employee. Denis Lakhanov - a conceptual designer at Riot Games, shared various weapon variations on his ArtStation account.
Vandal
This is what the Vandal skin that was released in the championship set looks like, and although it looks very beautiful, in the charged version, the concept arts were no less impressive.
The developers also had a version where the charged weapon received camouflage in the form of a championship badge that would shimmer over the entire surface of the Vandal.
Another version also has a badge, but this time its entire weapon surface is covered in orange with yellow lines.
The next version is the most interesting, so many users regret that Riot abandoned such a concept. The charged weapon becomes covered with hundreds of small triangles of different shapes.
But this is not the most interesting thing in this variation. In one of the images, the skin is divided into 3 VCT game regions - EMEA, Americas, Pacific. In each of the versions, the charged skin has its own unique color that matches the color of the region. It's unclear how the system would determine which region the player with the weapon is in, but the idea was very intriguing.
Kunai Knife
This is what the knife skin looks like, which we saw with the release of the Valorant Champions 2023 set. Many fans were dissatisfied with the quality of the melee weapon; the knife was criticized for the lack of effects on the blade itself and a too simple hole in front of the handle. Many even called it a cheap copy of the Skeleton Knife from CS:GO.
The concept arts depict 9 possible knife variations that were no worse than the original.
Readers especially liked the first version, which they call the best version of the knife.
ValorLeaks readers reacted emotionally to these concept arts, with most believing they are much better than what the game ended up with. In their words, Valorant would have been even brighter with such skins. Many ask Riot to add a variation of the Vandal skin divided by regions to the game. Do you agree with this?
