Hermes joins the updated Dplus roster for Valorant

Today, the South Korean organization Dplus announced an addition to their Valorant roster. The 18-year-old promising player Ahn "Hermes" Byeong-wook will strengthen the team in the upcoming competitive season of VCT 2024.

While the incorporation of the young tier-2 player seems quite unusual, the organization has high hopes for the newcomer. Team representatives commented on their unconventional decision and announced significant changes. They stated that starting today, a new chapter for Dplus begins, and Hermes joining the club signifies the team's readiness to embrace new challenges.

The last piece of our Valorant team's puzzle has fallen into place with the addition of Hermes. As we are ready to take on new challenges, the Dplus KIA Valorant team is prepared to turn the page and begin the next chapter. We count on your endorsement and support!

Ahn "Hermes" Byeong-wook spent his last competitive season with Maru Gaming. With them, the player finished third in both stages of the Valorant Challengers 2023: Korea Split. Afterward, the professional moved to the lesser-known club CELESTIAL, with whom he won the tier-3 tournament 2023 SMS CUP - in Seongnam. The reason why he left the last club after only two months remains unclear, but it can be assumed that the invitation from Dpluswas the main reason.

It is recalled that the Korean collective Dplus started their season with victories in both stages of Valorant Challengers 2023: Korea Split. However, afterwards, the players utterly failed at the final stage of the VCT 2023: Ascension Pacific league, finishing in 7-8th place, and lost the chance to get a partnership with Riot Games. Following this, the club's management completely refreshed the roster, and today Ahn completes the formation of the new roster.
