On December 2, the Japanese esports organization REIGNITE announced the termination of its contract with player HANE, who is leaving the VALORANT GC division (REIGNITE Lily). Senpai, former analyst of Sengoku Gaming, will join the team as the new assistant coach.

HANE Career

19-year-old HANE began her professional VALORANT career in 2022 when she joined Focus e-Sports and made it through the open qualifiers of her first official tournament, VCT 2022 GC JAPAN. Although the team was eliminated by FENNEL HOTELAVA in the playoffs, they secured 4th place in Japan.

In 2023, HANE played for TZ Gaming and participated in VCJ 2023 Split 1. Despite the team failing to qualify, HANE notably achieved a victory over HIT GAMING.

In 2024, she joined forces with Korean players Festival and FullMoon to form Meteor. At VALORANT GC Japan 2024 Split 1, the team defeated organizations like SCARZ GC and BANDAL Gaming, successfully advancing through the qualifiers. Although HANE and her team were again stopped at 4th place in the playoffs, it was a significant achievement. Later, moving to REIGNITE Lily, she played as a flex player and helped the team secure 3rd place at VALORANT GC Japan 2024 Split 2.

Senpai's Appointment

Senpai began his VALORANT career as a player in 2020 but transitioned to coaching in 2022. In Oceania, he worked with the amateur team BOBO, which finished 2nd at the VALORANT Oceania Tour 2022 Championship.

Returning to Japan in late 2022, Senpai became the tactical coach for Sengoku Gaming. He helped the team achieve impressive results, including 4th place at VCJ 2023 Split 1 and 3rd place in both stages of VCJ 2024.
