Godvexy leaves Medal Esports and ends his esports career

Yesterday brought some sad news for all fans of Indian player Sameer Sharma, known by the nickname godvexy. In his Twitter account, he announced that he is not only leaving the Medal Esports organization but also ending his activities in the esports segment.

Godvexy's career

Sameer Sharma, a former professional CS:GO player, moved to Valorant in May 2021, beginning his career in the discipline with Enigma Gaming. With them, godvexy performed successfully on the tier-3 scene for 7 months and even took prize-winning places at tier-2 tournaments. The player's last club was Medal Esports, with which he won the ROG Showdown Series Fall 2022 and took 3rd place at the NSG Yuddha: All India Championship. Unfortunately, the last tournament, Valorant Challengers 2023: South Asia Split 2, ended with Medal Esports in 9-10th place, as a result of which the team did not make it to the important Ascension tournament in the Pacific region.

Farewell to the team

Sameer Sharma warmly said goodbye to all fans, his former team, and his esports colleagues. He stated that his dream came true, and now he plans to focus on his studies.

I am announcing my exit from esports. It was nothing more than a dream that conquered most of my goals. Made so many friends that could be called brothers, met good people, and received love from the Valorant and CSGO community. Thank you to my mom for being my biggest support. I'm going to focus on my education, and for that, I'll be flying to Canada in a month. To everyone, fans, teammates, management, or friends who have been part of my journey, thank you. Thank you for everything.

It's worth reminding that the Medal Esports organization has been actively expanding its player roster in recent days, which you can read about in our material. This means they are preparing for major changes in the team, the first of which took place yesterday, with godvexy leaving.
